Ryan Adams Prunes 'Cold Roses'

Ever-prolific singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has three releases on tap this year, the first of which will arrive May 3 via Lost Highway. The 18-song, double-disc "Cold Roses" is credited to Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, consisting of guitarists J.P. Bowersock and Cindy Cashdollar, drummer Brad Pemberton and bassist Catherine Popper. Rachael Yamagata guests on "Cold Roses" and "Let It Ride."

"Cold Roses" will be followed this summer by the album "September," and in the fall by the set "29," produced by longtime collaborator Ethan Johns.

Adams' output has reportedly been the subject of much discussion at Lost Highway; although its veracity could not be confirmed at deadline, a humorous conversation between the artist and two label executives about how to manage all these releases is posted on Adams' official Web site.

Adams has announced a handful of spring tour dates, beginning April 27 in Northampton, Mass., and running through May 9 in Asheville, N.C.

As I understand it, 'Let's Get Metaphysical' is one of the 'singles' on the album 'Helicopter Soup'...he put stars next to the singles.
